Asheville Attorney Brian Davis Will Speak at APITLAmerica Conference June 6

The APITLAmerica Interstate Trucking Conference coming to St. Louis June 6-8 will feature Asheville, NC attorney Brian Davis, speaking on 30(b)(6) Depositions.

Brian Davis is the founder and managing partner at Davis Law Group. The firm has offices in Asheville and Raleigh, North Carolina. Since 1991, he has been representing victims and survivors of those injured or killed in collisions with tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles. As lead counsel, he has helped numerous individuals and families recover significant damages for the tragic losses caused by careless and reckless truck drivers. He has been selected as one of The Best Lawyers in America, as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by the American Trial Lawyer Association, and is a lifetime member of the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Mr. Davis received his undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his law degree at Wake Forest University School of Law. Admitted to practice in all of the state and federal courts in North Carolina, Mr. Davis is also a member of the Bar of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. He has litigated cases throughout North Carolina and has successfully represented victims of interstate truck crashes from New York to Florida.

Mr. Davis has written and lectured extensively on subjects related to trial advocacy and discovery in commercial truck cases. He coordinated the highly acclaimed North Carolina Advocates for Justice (NCAJ) program titled Trucking Litigation – Putting the Hammer Down on Unsafe Trucks (2009). As a National Advisory Board Member of the Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America (APITLA), he is currently working to coordinate a Truck Litigation Education program in North Carolina for 2010 that will be jointly sponsored by APITLA and NCAJ. He has taught courses for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) and has served as a member of the National College of Advocacy, which is the education wing of the American Association for Justice (AAJ).

He is the Membership chair of the Auto Torts Section of NCAJ, and he is also on the NCAJ Education Committee and Publications Committee. He has served multiple terms as a member of the Board of Governors for NCAJ and as a Trustee for the Political Action Committee. He is a recipient of the NCAJ Order of Service Award. He is a former member of the AAJ Key Person Committee. Mr. Davis is a member of the AAJ Interstate Truck Litigation Group, and he has twice received the AAJ Wiedemann Wysochi Citation of Excellence for Outstanding Public Service. As a proud volunteer for the Truck Safety Coalition, he has helped defeat dangerous legislation sponsored by the trucking industry in North Carolina. Mr. Davis is also a volunteer for Mountain Area Hospice.
