FMCSA puts extra muscle into shutting down truck fleets

The Commercial Carrier Journal last week reported on the uptick in the number of issuances of FMCSA imminent-hazard out-of-service orders for truck fleets. We’ve reported on this blog as the FMCSA has announced various carriers in the U.S. and Canada that have been given out-of-service orders.

The site reported, “FMCSA statistics show a nearly fivefold increase – 10 to 48 – in imminent-hazard out-of-service orders issued from fiscal 2011 to fiscal 2012 for bus and truck fleets.”
