What Is TruckAccident Magazine?

APITLA offers TruckAccident Magazine as a free publication to victims of large truck accidents and their families. Why have we decided to publish TruckAccident Magazine?

tam logo for lindsayBecause we want to level the playing field for people injured in crashes with big trucks, as they are forced to take on the powerful insurance industry. TruckAccident Magazine gives you, at your fingertips, access to lawyers and experts who are willing to try to help answer your questions about interstate truck crashes for free.

Editor-in-Chief Dan Ramsdell founded The Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America with a goal to “Put The Brakes On Unsafe Trucking Companies”. Here, he writes about why it’s vital we join together to stop unsafe trucking companies who are a potential risk to the public either knowingly or unknowingly.

“Truck crashes in America are a huge problem. From 1990 through 2010 alone, there have been over one million seven hundred thirteen thousand (1,713,000) injury crashes involving big trucks in the United States of America. When you break that down, that is an average over 82,425 injury crashes per year, and nearly 228 injury crashes each and every day! When you break those numbers down just a little further, that means that there were almost 10 injury crashes with a big truck in every single hour of every single day, or in other words, one injury crash with a big truck roughly every seven minutes! These big trucks spread a wide path of death and destruction across America when they are operated unsafely or illegally. It is the hope of our staff, contributing authors, and experts will be informative and helpful. We are all working together to help to “Put The Brakes On Unsafe Trucking Companies”.”
