You’ve probably heard it before. But, it’s not true. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) says fatigue affects everyone. The Academy defines fatigue as “the state of exhaustion or tiredness associated with activity, exertion, working too many hours in a row, staying up too many hours in a row, or a lack of sleep.” Fatigue is a very real thing, and according to their definition, it’s not only caused by not getting enough sleep.
